Cheltenham Festival

Cheltenham hopeful ALBERTAS RUN will undoubtedly pick The National Hunt Festival at Cheltenham next March as one of the many options that trainer Jonjo O’Neill now has after finally beating MASTER MINDED in Saturday’s Betfred Monet’s Garden Old Roan Chase at Aintree.

Ascot, Haydock and maybe another meeting with Master Minded in the King George VI Chase at Kempton on Boxing Day are all possible destinations for the 10-year-old after his one length victory.

Albertas Run, receiving 10lbs in the limited handicap, demonstrated a superb round of jumping under champion jockey Tony McCoy winning for the fifth time in seven years on his seasonal debut. It was also third time lucky against Master Minded after he was beaten both times he faced Paul Nicholls’ eight-year-old last season.

The Cheltenham Festival and The Gold Cup are already beginning to warm up nicely.

Tickets and Hospitality packages are now available from Intheblackevents.com click Cheltenham National Hunt Festival for more details.
